Why does everyone need to complain about every new thing that we get lmao. Just shut up and go to a different game for gods sakes. No one cares if you find the meta boring, believe it or not. No one else cares if you complain about a deck that you don't like. I get that you can voice your opinion on this website, but its one fucking day into the expansion and you're already complaining and shitting over everyone's enjoyment with the expansion. Consider going to a different game, and be sure to bring your cancerous attitude and pacifier with you.
The first days after the release of WoG, many people used to think the meta was going to be dominated by C'thun Druid, since a considerable amount of players were using that deck. Lol, doesn't that tell you something OP?
I also don't instantly get depressed when I encounter Shaman in this expansion, and that has to count for something.
Good point. I threw together a Hunter deck to try some things out, queued into a pre-release Midrange Shaman, and just wiped him out. Don't think he did a single point of damage to me...and that's with him getting Golem, Trogg, and Feral Spirit all in his opening hand.
It is incredible annoying to see people always complaining in this forum for whatever reason. I love this forum and many people here are great (including the mods) but seeing others being so negative all the time makes me sick...
For me and for now is much more interesting than midrange shaman 10 times in a row...
Problem is that's 3/4 of my games, I want the new meta and I've already burnt through 5 new decks solely because they suck against pre-patch midrange shaman
So, by 2 days you are defining the meta already. Yeah, I guess you get bored, 'cause you have not patience towards the game. Just keep experimenting, and in the given time, there will be a meta you can complain on...
I'm enjoying renolock, I'm actually enjoying the game, you should try it sometime, it's great.....in fact a little known fact, it's the freaking goal of games.
Relax everyone take a deep breath and have some fun. even at my rank 14
loooooool i was wondering when this thread would come up, you are a little early though Op, this thread usually comes up TWO days after the expansion release, not one,
the rises of salt threads. RNG goons salt, aggro salt, jade salt, Reno salt, otk salt will start soon. They all complain about rock, paper and scissor mechanic. Rock complain how op the paper. Need remove it from game so rock become unbeatable. Player and community nowday is really bad.
This is seriously such an uninspiring meta right now: you don't even have to think to play jade druid, just slam those golems on the board. The same goes for pirate warrior: don't think, just go face. Off course the previous meta wasn't perfect either with totem/midrange shaman and way too much RNG, but I think it definitely was a lot more fun than this uninspiring, braindead meta we're in right now. Off course you have the right to think differently and are entitled to your own opinion, but you'll probably have to agree with me that this meta is very straightforward and that there's almost no thinking required anymore. And that is perhaps my biggest problem with it: we play this, because we're humans and we want human interaction while we're playing this game, but in this meta, almost all of us (especially the aggro pirate/jade druid decks that are dominating the meta right now) could be replaced by robots and the outcome of the games would be the same. And this way, the game becomes nothing more than a coin toss: who has the best starting hand and who can play his minions first and who has the best mana curve. Off course those elements mattered in past metas too, but not as much as in this one. I've played a lot of mirror totem/midrange shaman matches previous season, and though I actieved a nice rank at the end of the season, I can tell you that it was boring as hell at a certain point, I guess it was for a great part because of the predictability, but for the most part it was because it was just a coin toss: who could drop his minions first, and who has the best draw. But in my opinion, though of course I am a proponent of more variation in the ladder decks that you encounter, that was more challenging than a jade druid/pirate warrior matchup. I think blizzard is making the game too easy and predictable, and I predict that that is going to chase a lot of players away. Off course there might have been too much RNG involved since WOTOG, but at least it was a lot of fun in my opinion. It seems that Blizzard also wants to make the game easier, and perhaps they do that to attract new players, but I think that it will certainly chase some more veteran players away. TL;DR: Sorry for the rant, but I just don't think this new expansion is a lot of fun, nor is it inspiring with all the braindead decks out there, and I believe that it will definitely chase some more veteran players away.

Easy to play straightforward decks always do well right after release of new cards. Harder to play but powerful decks come after some refinement. The veteran players will test and find stronger decks.

‘Yes, but you thought him silly, and you thought me silly.’ "Because I read your errand in your eyes. But I am not afraid now." Three soldiers stood before the open door and amused themselves by provoking these people in the most inhuman manner, by abusing them and telling them that later on they would be hanged or shot. The poor fellows shivered and their teeth clattered. I, the newly arrived "swine," was treated in much the same way, but I reduced the insolent blusterers into the quietest people of the world by warning them that by and by I would ask the commanding officer whether his soldiers had the right to call a Netherlander a "swine." That put some heart into my fellow-victims, and I urged them that they would do best by replying calmly to any questions which the commanding officer might put177 to them. They actually became more composed, and told me the following: when occasionally he strikes solid earth. He tries to lighten not in New York during this awful weather. Then he drew Cairness aside and held out the limp wrist to be bound, supporting it with his other hand. And presently they went out from the restaurant, where the powder smoke was added to the other smells, and hung low, in streaks, in the thick atmosphere, to hunt up a surgeon. "Come in," said her husband. He was pouring out a drink of whiskey. It was now the turn of the French to triumph, and of the Allies to suffer consternation. Louis, once more elate, ordered Te Deum to be sung in Notre Dame, and all Paris was full of rejoicing. He declared that God had given a direct and striking proof of the justice of his cause and of the guilty obstinacy of the Allies. His plenipotentiaries assumed at Utrecht such arrogance that their very lacqueys imitated them; and those of Mesnager insulted one of the plenipotentiaries, Count von Richteren, and Louis justified them against all complaints. The regiment moved off at the head of the brigade, and after a march of a mile or so came out upon a hill from which they could see one of our batteries having an unequal fight with several of the rebel batteries in a fort far to its front. Our cannoneers were standing up bravely to their work, but the rebel shells were bursting about them in a wild storm of crashing, deafening explosions, and hurtling, shrieking masses of iron. The sharp crack of their own rifles was at times drowned by the ear-splitting din of the bursting shells. Albin sighed. "Slavery," he said. "You think of slavery and it all rises up in front of you—Greece, India, China, Rome, England, the United States—all the past before the Confederation, all the different slaves." He grinned again. This thread...
I LOVE this expansion! I've encountered many different kinds of decks, and I have not consistently won or lost to any of them.
There's so many powerful cards in this expansion, some made for control, some for aggro, the meta could honestly go in any direction.
I also don't instantly get depressed when I encounter Shaman in this expansion, and that has to count for something.
